You know it’s there… you feel it… it’s inside of you. It was wired in you by the creator from the moment your cells began to divide. It’s looking and longing to bust loose… to be unleashed!

Come on this wild 1 year ride with others your age to peel back the layers and unleash the leader that’s inside of you to be a hero in our world.

NOW is the time to identify, embrace & unleash that hero!

THE BASICS
3 weekends throughout 1 school year

Dates BC: Sept 30-Oct 3, 2010; Jan 27-30, 2011; May 26-29, 2011

Open to: Salvation Army youth grades 10-12 + up to 21 yrs old

SHAPING & DEVELOPMENT
We’ll use modeling, teaching & experience in our weekends away to shape & develop the leader already within you. We’ll talk & teach on, model & give you experience in 6 different areas over the course of the year.

Topics include:

• Shaping [Mentoring]
• Wired [Gifts/Passion/Personality]
• Decontamination [Holiness]
• Leadership
• Connecting [Intimacy with God]
• Livin’ & Lovin’ [Evangelism]

COMING SOON TO YOUR AREA
We’re currently running X{LR}:8 in BC South and Ontario Great Lakes area. If you’re outside those areas and want to see it come to your neck of the woods then:
1. contact us and let us know you’re interested
2. share your desires with your youth worker/area youth person/divisional youth worker or divisional leader and get them to contact us so we can work together with them to launch X{LR}:8 in your area!

X{LR}:8 was amazing and a real growing experience for me. Going into it I didn’t feel like I belonged and I didn’t see myself as a leader whatsoever.
