YOU CAN! By sponsoring a child, that’s exactly what you can do. You’ll help that child get food, clothing, shelter, education, medical assistance and not to mention spiritual nurture and loving care.
The Salvation Army has tons of children crying out for sponsorship from 22 countries around the world. These children are from Salvation Army run homes, social service institutions, basic schools and day care centres. They are innocent victims of war, power struggles and aggression. Many are stateless, rootless and unwanted. Others are victims of broken families, confused and missing the security and the shelter of a loving home and often with the stability that only faith can give.
Cost is only $25 per month ($300 per year)
HOW TO BECOME A SPONSOR
- send an email with your intent
- download application form or call 1.800.SAL-ARMY (725.2769)
- print form
- fill it out (make a note if you wish boy or girl)
- mail completed form with cheque (mastercard payments via phone)
Upon receiving your email and application form, they’ll send you a sponsorship package which includes a brief case history and photograph of a child in the country of your choice.
